Complete Daily Maintenance & Fault Prevention Guide for LED Displays

Standardized daily maintenance and regular equipment inspection can effectively extend LED display service life by 30% and reduce module failure rate by more than half. LED screen maintenance work is divided into three core modules: screen surface cleaning, power supply circuit inspection and heat dissipation system maintenance, with different operation standards for indoor and outdoor screens.

First, screen surface cleaning specifications. For outdoor LED billboards exposed to dust, rainwater and industrial pollutants all year round, operators need to clean the screen surface with soft microfiber cloth mixed with neutral cleaning agent every 1–2 months. Strictly prohibit using high-pressure water guns to flush the screen directly, and avoid strong acid and alkaline cleaning solvents, which will corrode the surface protective mask and damage lamp bead encapsulation layer, causing dead lamp failure. Indoor fine-pitch screens accumulate dust slowly, and only need light dust removal with dry soft cloth every quarter.

Second, power supply and circuit regular inspection. Check all power supply modules, wiring terminals and signal transmission lines every month to confirm stable voltage and no loose wiring. Outdoor LED screens must install lightning surge protectors and reliable grounding devices to avoid circuit burnout caused by lightning strikes and instantaneous voltage surges during thunderstorm seasons. It is required to cut off the total power supply completely when the screen stops running for more than 3 days, to prevent idle power loss and circuit aging caused by long-term standby.

Third, heat dissipation system maintenance. Overheating is the primary cause of LED module premature aging and failureREISSOPTO. Clean the cooling fans, dust filter screens and heat dissipation channels of indoor and outdoor screens every two months to prevent dust blockage from affecting heat emission efficiency. For outdoor screens operating in high-temperature summer environments, install auxiliary air cooling equipment to reduce internal cabinet temperature; for low-temperature winter areas, equip constant temperature heating modules to avoid circuit condensation and short-circuit faults.

In addition, regular software maintenance is required: update control card firmware and color calibration program every six months to optimize screen display color uniformity and picture smoothness, and eliminate potential system operation bugs in advance.
